1. "What is the difference between the fastskins and regular swimsuits?"
http://fastskin.blogspot.com/2010/05/fastskin-lzr-racer-elite-technology.html Read 2nd and 3rd paragraph of this post. Regular swimsuits do not have these features. That is the difference between Fastskins and regular swimsuits.
2. "How is the fast skin made/processed?" Its manufacturing process is a secret.
3."How do nylon yarn and spandex contribute to fastskins?" The key is that it's not one material or component, it's a system of components working together dynamically to produce an almost imperceptible smoothness. Again, for additional info read: http://fastskin.blogspot.com/2010/05/fastskin-lzr-racer-elite-technology.html Read 2nd and 3rd paragraph of this post.
p.s. Thank you for your inquiry, Lissi. We will be happy to publish your chemistry project as a guest post. Hopefully your knowledge will help others like you in the future. You can send your review to fastskinswimsuits@gmail.com
hi we are 3 students from germany and we´re study textilemanagement at the netherlands and at the moment we are doing a productdevelopment project. our product is the first speedo fastskin, but we can only find information about the new suits (fastskin II and lzr) what was the first material composite of fastskin? thanks for you help. lisa
Warnaco is the exclusive North American licensee for Speedo swimwear, activewear, footwear, and accessories from Speedo International, a unit of Pentland Group. So, Warnaco is the answer.
Hi, having a read of all the information about the Fastskin LZR and controversy had me thinking... With all these modern components being incorporated into swimsuits now, what do you believe swimsuits in the future will be like (ignoring bans by the way)? Thanks for the blog- it's very informative!
We are yet to face a brand new generation of professional swimsuits. I believe the "big launch" is slated for 2012 London Olympic Games. New super-light materials will be used for 'futuristic' suits. Also, reduced muscle vibration will remain one of the main challenges of the swimsuit industry. Obviously it’s hard to say exactly what will come of this development, but I would like to see results based on hard work and a commitment to excellence rather than results based on science and technological innovation.
Quite an interesting and informative blog you have there. I would be interested in discussing an opportunity with you regarding Speedo Fastskins. Please could you provide me with an email address to contact you on privately?
Hi my name is Lissi and I'm doing a high school chemistry project on fastskins. I was wondering if i could answer any of this questions about them:
ReplyDeleteWhat is the difference between the fastskins and regular swimsuits?
What are the main materials in which fastskins are made?
How is the fast skin made/processed?
How do nylon yarn and spandex contribute to fastskins?
Is their anything else you can tell me that would benefit my project?
Thank you so much and if you don't have any of this information is their any place you know i could get it?
Thank You
-Lissi
